The Glutterous Nutter, a heaving, breathing,
ever-eating lump of lard-gloaming butter.
It lurks in the lightless corners of cool pantries.
It warbles and shimmies like salty sea-shanties.

A sailor knows the Glutterous Nutter by name.
He spreads it on biscuits and slice it the same two ways:
upside down and bottoms-up, clink the rum,
down the hatches, there’s a swell fellow

— look, boys, he’s glazed!
I say, Smithens, take it away.
